| Action: Youth Exchange Where: Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina When: 28/08 – 01/09 2023 (travel days 27.08 – 02.09) Topic: “Pirouette” (Performative arts for youth engagement and community regeneration) is an Erasmus+ project aimed at promoting the use of performative street arts, such as circus, street dance and street painting, as an innovative NFE methodology to foster social and civic engagement of youth and, eventually led to a community-led regeneration of urban/disadvantaged areas. Approach/methodology: Non-formal education. Who can apply: We are looking for 4 youth leaders 18-25 years old from Germany. What will be done: During the Youth Exchange, participants will engage in a range of activities to enhance their understanding and skills in using performative street arts for youth engagement and community regeneration. They will attend workshops led by experts in circus, street dance, and street painting, learning techniques and methodologies to effectively engage young people in these art forms. Participants will collaborate on practical projects, creating and implementing performances in urban/disadvantaged areas, using their newly acquired skills to inspire social and civic engagement among local youth. Through discussions and reflection sessions, participants will also explore the theoretical foundations and best practices for community-led regeneration, aiming to develop strategies to facilitate positive change in these areas.
