KA1 ADULT IntegrART PROJECT

Welcome to IntegrArt – Social Inclusion through Art! This project is designed to enhance the competences of staff members who work with adults, particularly those with a migrant background, by considering the universal language of art to foster social and cultural integration.

Through hands-on workshops, it enhances professional skills in creative expression and integration practices, using upcycling and street art as tools for social inclusion. Staff learn to transform urban waste into community art, combining circular economy concepts with integration strategies to build a more inclusive community.

Projekt PARTNER:

  1. NGO NEST Berlin [DE]
  2. Teatro Metaphora [PT]
  3. Caribbean Education and Culture Foundation (CECF) [NL]
Projekt ZIELE:

IntegrArt is dedicated to fostering social inclusion and community engagement through innovative art-based approaches. The project is built around three core objectives:
Using upcycled art for social inclusion: the project focuses on equipping staff members with knowledge and skills in upcycled art processes and techniques. These methods are designed to promote the social inclusion of adult individuals with migrant backgrounds who face challenges in integrating into society.

Promoting proactive engagement through art education: the project emphasizes the development of competencies in delivering effective art-based education tailored for disadvantaged adult migrants. By leveraging art as a tool for learning and interaction, IntegrArt aims to encourage the proactive engagement of adults with migrant background, fostering their active participation in social and cultural contexts.

Building knowledge in urban regeneration and circular economy: the project provides participants with insights and skills related to urban regeneration and circular economy practices. This knowledge serves a dual purpose: empowering staff members with tools for enhancing the capacity to design future projects for adults with migrant background, and also for aligning with sustainability and social inclusion purposes.

Project RESULTS:

IntegrArt is designed to deliver impactful outcomes for both staff members and the organization itself. The key results include:

New competences for social inclusion: The project fostered staff members’ innovative skills in social inclusion and integration by utilizing upcycled art and street art as creative tools. These methods enable a more effective connection with adults from disadvantaged social conditions, promoting their active engagement and social integration.

Increased participation: IntegrArt will lead to greater involvement of adults living in challenging circumstances in the events and activities planned by the organization. This enhanced participation strengthens the sense of community and encourages proactive engagement among adults with migrant background.

Increased organizational capabilities: The project has improved the organization’s ability to incorporate principles of circular economy and urban regeneration into its initiatives. These enriched capabilities to provide a solid foundation for designing future projects aligned with sustainability and inclusion goals.

A digital project manual: IntegrArt has produced a comprehensive manual in digital format, detailing the methodologies, tools, and insights gained during the project. This resource serves as a valuable guide for other organizations and professionals aiming to replicate or adapt the project’s approaches in their contexts.
