U-Circle
Building Pathways for Integration and Employment of Ukrainian Women and Families in Europe

PROJECT OVERVIEW

As of 2025, Ukrainian women constitute one of the largest and most vulnerable migrant groups in the European Union. Across the European Union, migrant women continue to face structural barriers to integration, particularly in the labour market and public life. These women frequently encounter intersectional barriers to integration – including lack of access to childcare, language instruction, formal employment pathways, and support networks – that must be addressed. U Circle aims, through outreach, mentoring, and participation in thematic workshops, to help women gain confidence and independence in navigating public services, legal systems, and in accessing childcare. The family-centred approach is designed to address labour market participation barriers, enabling women to balance their duties as assigned caregivers with training, employment, and active engagement. This approach aims to help women gain independence while integrating into the host society.
