SIVO – Sitting Volleyball- for inclusion and well-being

There are 87 million citizens with disabilities in Europe, about half of whom have a physical disability. Sport can become a strategic tool for implementing the physical and psychological well-being and mood of individuals.
The benefits that sports could bring are fostered significantly in the case of projects promoting inclusive sports that allow equal
competition between persons with and without disabilities. One such sport is Sitting Volleyball.
The primary objective of the project SIVO is to promote the sport, and in particular the discipline of sitting volleyball, as a tool to make a significant difference in the lives of people with disabilities, ensuring that every European citizen has an equal opportunity to enjoy the benefits, including social benefits, that sport can bring.
